Hey guys. I've been looking all over for a DIY to remove the trunk handle. Can anyone out there help? Some _ _ _ _ _ _ stole my rear badge last Sunday and managed to scrape up the plastic piece quite nicely too. Rookie! At this point, it looks like a CF from bBist is the next logical step. I think that replacement piece will look sick on my FM but first I need to know how to remove the stock plastic piece without screwing anything else up. Thanks in advance!

Spend the money to have it shaved. I think some said it's less than $100.

I want to shave mine as well. Should only be a little to smooth it with some filler and then sand and paint.

I bought that CF cover piece, and it looked a little chinsy!

 

The actual replacement handle or the overlay? I'm looking at getting the actual CF piece itself.

 

I had the CF piece, and I think it looks bad since you apoly it with 3m double sided tape

 

no i think hes talking about that WHOLE carbon fiber replace ment. not just that overlay off of ebay or something like that..

 

the replacment is a good choice, but I want to shave the scion logo off the piece.

I heard the CF replacement has the scion logo on it?

 

yeah the one from bbist.com fromw hat i heard is that racing solution had one. but they discontinued?
