Does everyone have this or just me
Yesturday washin and waxin my car I noticed on the Rocker panels (for those that dont recognize that term , the cladding that is below the door between the front and rear tires) they were rough to the touch and lookin at them closer it was overspray . This overspray was on the upper part of the panels and actually when up and into where the panel meets the door sills . It was easily removed by a clay bar but I was wondering if I was the only one that had this or if others had the same condition . I am unsure if its just me having the RS1 and maybe a different process was done to them .
doesnt really show in photos you have to run your hand over it in order to feel it . Feels rough to the touch like overspray does , but after claybaring they nice and smooth just like the rest of the car
My bf worked at a Toyota dealer and he says the cars sometimes have a rough coating on the bottom, by the tires.
He told me that it is in order to keep the paint from chipping from rocks that get kicked up. That could be what it is...

its that crappy RS version....take it back and get something original ... like a FM.... lol kidding... my best guess is ::: sometimes if you put tire dressing on and dont let it properly dry before driving away, it will leave the run off on those areas... tire shine is very sticky and thus, attracts sooooooo much dirt... voila, my two cents
