Too bad they didn't mass-produce the door handles off the 'Spec tC'. They don't have a key hole on them...

I want those!!!

well, i don't use it. To be on the safe side, i rather just use aplug

perhaps something similar to the picture above that can be removed for emergencies (like a car battery that died)

the deleted keyhole was only on the passenger side, they still have it on the driver side.

Just take out the door handle and fill the hole with bondo. Im sure a body shop would do the work for $50-$100...

I was just thinking the other day about this... lol I never have. I've been wanting to though, you know, just to "make sure it works"

I wouldn't mind getting a plug for the passenger side though, but I'd keep the driver's side, "just in case"

They are on Bumperplugs. They're nice, I have them.

You have to use the color chart to get the closest match to your paint code. If that doesn't work, e-mail the guy who runs the site, he's pretty cool.

Also, they are just plugs, so you can pull them out if you need to use the key, then pop them back in.

look for a set at the junkyard, either scion tC or a matrix, they are the same handles and bondo that sand it down and bring if for paint , probably the easiest body fill you can do and good practice

I have constant been contacting one guy from NewCelica.org since he makes door plugs for the celica and MR2. All the door plugs he makes is made to fit the individual car. Here is the latest quote.

Sorry I have been so busy [...] and now I have a new project. Actually I have a friend trying to locate a Scion door lock which is very neccesary to to make the cover. If you have any resorces which would help me I would aprisiate that.
thanks
Dev
And here is the link to NewCelica.org's group buy for their door plugs. I'm really hoping this guy will make the Scion tC one.

http://www.newcelica.org/forums/showthread.php?t=206068

So if anyone has the resources to get a Scion tC keyhole door assembly or something PM me. Thanks. I'll make sure he hooks you up with some covers ^_^.

I honestly think these are better than the bumperplugs.com ones and harder to get stolen since they are rubber. Plus it's much less expensive price.

I just used a 7 year indoor/outdoor black vinyl (like the kind you would use for sign lettering or something). Cut a circle, and laid it right on the keyhole.

just paid 34 bucks for a couple of plastic door key plugs.

I know its really dirty, but it just snowed. They color actually really matches well. I had to do a little bit of dremeling to get them in there. $34 bucks worth it? Probably not. Would I buy them if i had the choice to do it over? Probably cause i waste a lot of money :-)
