Default Duplicolor or plasticote codes

Ok. I did the search, so don't flame me!!!

I just looked up on both sites and there is no code for the 2010 tc flint mica.

What are you guys using to match?

I want to spray the scion and tc badges to make them "stealth".

BTW the 2010 grills are so ugly. They didnt match the upper and lower styles, and I don't know why Toyota did this.

Guess I just have to wait for a mesh kit.

I got my touch up paint from paintscratch.com, they're more expensive than DupliColor or other off-the-shelf paints, but they match pretty much dead-on.

I got the aerosol can, keep in mind the sprays are basecoat only, you will need to spray clear over them for a gloss finish.

Awesome!! thanks for the quick reply.

I want to take off the scion emblem from the trunk and blend in the recessed area. Would you suggest a professional re-paint, or do you think the paint scratch paint and clear would do the job?

If you want it to match absolutely perfect, professional repaint. If you aren't trying to have a show car, you can probably do the base/clear over some fiberglass (to fill in the recessed area) and then wet sand and buff the clear. Depending on your painting skills, it could look close to the same quality as a pro job, but the color match may not be perfect and it won't stand up to the elements as well as the pro paint job would.

Just an FIY the paint code for Flint Mica is the same, however there are 3-4 variations of the color depending on when and at what plant your car was built at. I would take it to a shop and have them run the vin number on it to make sure you get the correct shade.
