Default Engine Bay LED Strips

So I have searched around, but haven't found a conclusive answer to my questions. I bought 2 LED strips and a switch from Oznium, and plan on wiring them tomorrow to light up my engine bay. Here are my questions.

1. Where should I mount them for best appearance, on the left and right of the engine bay, or front and back.
2. Should the be pointing down or up, or towards the middle of the engine bay.
3. For wiring, can I pull the power through the grommet by the brake pedal. As I understand, there is a place there that will go through the firewall. How much space is there and how easy would it be to add a power wire through there. (18awg)
4. Can I ground it anywhere in the engine bay? I was thinking yes, but I want to be positive.

I know I am going to add more for better looks later on, but I want to know where to start for the best looks. I already have cathodes and I want to splice the power for the leds, before it hits the cathode switch, to eliminate pulling it out of the CL and consequently pulling apart the dash. I hope you guys can help me out here.
Thanks,
Steve

Found this on a search...

I have the same questions but I figured I'd just bump this up instead of starting a new thread.
