Default Engine Compartment/Grill Lighting

I've searched and checked in tech, but didn't find what I was looking for... anyone have tips and tricks for how to wire lights in the engine compartment/grill, and what lights to use?

I was looking at the LED flex strips from oznium for the grill lighting, but not sure what power source i could wire it to in order to get a switch in my car, nor what type of wire i could use that would live up to the heat in the compartment.

Any help appreciated!

Id want it separate from the lights, ideally turned on by a switch inside the cabin from the switch panel above the fuses. I'm sure blue lighting under the grill is illegal so id have to have it off during driving.

Well I know how I would do it, I cant really tell you well enough to guarantee you will understand me, but...I will say...that just because your hood is closed...doesnt mean that people wont see the wires(ever) So use as much wire as needed to hide it and tuck it all away and make your engine bay real pretty.

Those **** heads with the little snake eyes on their washer nozzels and they leave wires sitting on top the engine all strewed about. That drives me nuts.
