I was just wondering what my fellow scion owners think of eyelids? Is anyone interested in eyelids for the TC and XB?

 

They look good on a xB but not on a tC.

 

What do you mean eyelids? I have some vinyl ones that I'm happy with.

I like having eyelids on the car....

gives it a more aggressive look

 

Well, most of the eyelids out right now suck hardcore, unless you're looking for Carbon Fiber.

No offense to anyone who has them, I just haven't had much luck getting 'paintable' eyelids painted and installed on the car, without them cracking or deforming in some way.

The CF eyelids are nice, but none of the bodyshops I talked to would paint them.

What would be nice is a pair of ABS or fiberglass eyelids, primed and ready to paint, or available color-matched.

 

I have Bat's vinyl's and they look awsome! I dont know why ppl hate them?

 

some of the eyelids are alright...all depends on the style..like bat has couple of styles to choose from which is cool....but carbon fiber eyelids are sweet cuz they not the normal thing u would see....

but imma just smoke the headlights and tails with the smoke vinyl...FM is hard to color match with eyelids

I dunno. They all look kinda goofy to me. Like it's cutting off part of the light. I'd prefer getting a different headlight housing to eyelids. But I like the stock headlights alot. Just wish it wasn't illegal to have non-amber side reflectors...

 

Eyelids are so FUGLY...why would u put vinyl sticker on ur headlight anyways??...lol..NO point..doesnt even look decent more like "ghetto"...

 

I don't agree. I think the tch1b kit that BlueBatmobile makes is nice because it covers the crappy chrome piece at the top of the headlight.

same here i think they look good i got mine from Bat as well.

 

I LOVE the way the eyelids look on the tC.. makes it alot 'angrier'. ;)

I think some people have been watching the movie Cars one too many times...lol...Why dont you have one of the "eyelids" wink at you then?..lol...If headlights intended to have these so-called "eyelids" dont you think the manufactuer would have them on there in the first place?...I mean thats good you color matched them BUT WHY??/...geesh man...I had a Honda Civic and this dude told me put Eyelids on it i was like "what da hell"??...ok..Guess I am done venting!...

Yeah and if the dealer intended for a car to have different rims or taillights or exhaust or body or a whole hell of a lot of other stuff they would have put it there too right??? How does that make since! What moves you??? Scions are all about modding and customizing. Adding eyelids is just one more way of doing that. If you dont like customizing your car thats fine but most scion owners bought the car to make it their own. Ok i'm done.

Oh and the movie Cars was a good movie! lol

 

Except that the simple top 'eyelid' Bat sells doesn't block ANY of the light.

You um, have looked at your headlight, and know the top doesn't light up, right?

I need to get a new pair of SSM eyelids from Bat and see if I can install them right this time... They do look nice.
