Mine came with the car...as to why it was cheaper, I have no idea (maybe they messed up). But I'm not going to mention to the dealer that I paid $205 less for the same foglights. Their screw up.

If you look at the other lights, they are Halo and are make shift lights to look oem. Compared to these which look exact and state that they are oem in the description. Also the wire harness and switch are all exact match to that of the oem set.

i have the halo's and they are wayyy better than stock. the halos look like stock have the same quality but the only bad thing is the wiring harness it doesn;t connect to the stock foglight wiring. it comes with its own harness and its a breeze to install plus the halo's you can get in dirrerent colors. no regrets on the halo's here

JQ - those are not OEM lights. I cannot comment whether those are good or not, but they are definitely not OEM as the ebay lights have a different lense and different mounting on the grill than the OEMs.

no their not oem but the manufactor that makes them for some reason calls them oem halo foglights. they are just as good as stock fogs in my opinion better. you can just have the halo on or halo with foglight on.

since the price is that different from the price of OEMs, im pretty sure that those are oem look. I had a 2004 civic, and the 04-05 civics had the front end redesign, so it took a while for companies to make fogs. well anyways, the oem kit was like 450, and the ones that looked like they had oem harnesses and plugs were 100-150. many people bought them, they plugged right in to the fuse box and stuff, where they were supposed to hook up, but after a while the kits would short out, wires and harnesses would melt, and the switches would melt. either get the oems, which you can install by yourself in under an hour, with a flat head screwdriver, or rig up your own set, like some IS fogs, with relays and all so you dont have any problems.

Yeah, those lights dont look anything like the oem fog's. If you compare those to pictures of actual oem fogs you will see a HUGE difference. I would just pay the money to get the true oem fogs and then you wont have to worry about anything.

Thanks for the heads up! Now I am trying to keep most of the mods on the car factory for warranty and re-sell, but do you think that these are close enough (with same switch and wiring as oem) that it will pass for it as a factory option? I can't beat the price.

154 ebay or 322 OEM!!!

damn, i think i should have purchased the fogs afterwards. seems to me now that 425 is way too much money. but at the time of purchasing a brand new vehicle i wanted everything to be installed right. i know it's not gauranteed that the port/dealer will install it correctly, but i just felt safer when the port does it. so there goes my 425 bucks. not to mention 423 for ped spoiler and 1069 for the rims...

the fogs aren't too bad, but i had a set of 400 dollar piaa fog light on my 4runner that was actually worth the 400+ dollars... what's done is done, i'll live with it.

+1 on the Halo's

I have them and they're great. There is no visible difference between the Halo's and the stock OEM's.

The bottom line is... It is a snap in injection molded grill with two lights some wire and a switch.

This is not rocket science here... and I hate to sound like a hard azz and I'll apologize upfront to anyone that's offended but really... when was the last time you or anyone else needed your fog lights covered by a warranty.

Here's what the halo's look like installed.

Now officially double glad that I bought the OEM setup. Those look... fake. As to the warranty issue, when a rock goes through one of yours, you're out $154. When a rock goes through mine, I pay my $25 deductible and get a new one. A new OEM one. Here's what the real nes look like installed.

Judge for yourselves.

Dr_Isotope, where did you get that grille for the fog lights?

It's a Mr. Grille 2-piece Billet grille cut to fit (top and bottom).

What warranty do you have? The factory warranty does not cover a rock going through your foglight.

Dr... your's do look nice with the billet kit installed however... I've already done a side by side comparison with a friend that has the stockers and aside from the lights... there's absolutely no difference. The screws line up and even the ejector pin marks from the mold are in the same place. Most plastic car parts are now made in China and anyone with the right connections can get one of the molders there to run off a couple hundred parts under the table.

...and as far as the warranty is concerned... One... there is no warranty that covers breakage from road hazards like rocks etc.. So when a rock hits mine... I pay my $25 deducable and get $450 from the insurance company. ;)

Really... IMO (and it's just that my opinion) If you get a warm fuzzy from the comfort of knowing that you have original factory fog lights on your car then that's perfectly alright. For me however... even with no warrant or insurance... I could go through 3 units before I broke even by buying one factory unit.

I have a 7 year, 100,000 mile warranty through my lender that covers everything on the car from bumper to bumper, short of wear parts (brake pads, fluids, etc.). Everything is covered, from the glass to the door handles. Everything.

c'mon is someone really going to notice that they are not the factory fogs just by glancing at them. is someone going to be bent over in front of your car looking at them real hard.?s h i t , I wished i could have gotten the stock fogs but im not going to pay all that money when the halo's have the same quality and look better. anyway if a rock went through the stock fogs i highly dobt its covered under warrant sure you can pay your deductible from your insurance company but guess what most likely your rate will go up
