Default figllc vs. RS1

Okay, so I am trying to decide what grill to get for my newly purchased BSP tC. I am currently looking at 2 grills, the figllc and the RS1. I like how the figllc is positioned and how it sticks out. I also like the looks of the rs1 and the fact that it installs like normal instead of drilling holes. I was just trying to get some feedback on the likes and dislikes, any opinions, and any extra info... thanks!

Well, last I checked, the RS1 grill is priced ridiculously, unless they have changed it lately.

I have the LLC (check my profile) and love the way they look.

If I had the money, rs 1.0. Short on cash, FIG LLC grill.

The paint on the RS 1.0 grill is pretty cheap. I need to repaint mine, along with the hood.

hmmm... has anyone else had this problem?? is there anyway at all I can screw in the llc instead of zipties Although the rest of the grill is well built they should have spent a few extra pennies and made it screw in into the stock holes... owell, I am not them, I don't know their reasoning behind it... anyone else

The RS1 is a joke. Who wants to pay between 600 and 1200 hundred dollars for a grill. The Figure Grille (which I was one of the first to own) is very high quality, the powdercoating is done right, the grille is thicker, the fitment is good, and besides having to drill a few holes, it has no downsides. Also, the curviture of the grille really goes well with the front bumper, which looks better than a flat grille, IMO....

My grille isn't flat, and it's made of fairly thick metal :p. It's just they did a poor job with the dark graphite paint. The grille is black underneath and you'll only notice if you look closely. I wouldn't mind trying to find a place to powdercoat the grille, but don't know of anyone that makes a dark graphite powdercoating.

You could easilly make a set of washer/screw mounts for the figure grill, but you would really still need to drill holes. I thought of this, but if you do it right you dont see the ties and they are in there very tight, so I didnt really see the benefit in this case of screwing it in.

One word of advise though, if you have the fogs, the instructions are a little flaky for the fog light grille. They failed to mention the 6 T clips that also hold that grill in. From what I hear, many dealers just decide not to install those (if your fog grill shakes all the time, that is probably why) clips for some reason. Mine did not. There are a series of rectangular "slits" in the back of the grill around the perimeter. Those are for speed clips which hold the grill tightly to the lip it slides over. If you remove all the screws and the grill wont, move, that is why.

This is, of course, only if you have the OEM fogs.

I did mine the retarded difficult way by reaching between the radiator and the front facia and unscrewing the 10 screws for the bottom fog grille. it was a PITA to do it that way but I got it done without removing the fogs/bumper. bottom grille took me about 20 minutes to do that way.
