Default figurellc Grille from ebay? Details on it?

Can't find an RS1.0 grill and am thinking of getting the next best thing. I found this on ebay. It looks really good. I searched it here and have read a few good things about it but no specifics. I was wondering who has it, what they think, and how was the install? I know about Grillcraft but don't really want to spend that much.

I really want to know if it fits over the stock fogs! Also, if I get it, I don't know if I should get the flat black or glossy black. What do you guys think??

Any input would be great!!! Pictures of this exact model would be great also, but I want to know details!

The sellers name, to search on ebay, is: figurellc

Hopefully this link works:

Thanks!

I say go glossy if anything but im honestly not a huge fan of how the grill fits. Ive seen people make better ones out of stuff they find at Home Depot. And it only costs them around $20.

I have them in silver. They're a complete replacement, so you won't be having your foglights on there. I like them. They don't rust or discolor at all. I'd say get them un-coated, since you can always have them coated after the fact. I'm still debating whether or not I should have'em coated :p

mattvs, those look good. I have been looking to do something like that in Red on my CSM, since my graphics and vinyl will and are in red.

Thanks for the replies so far! Please keep them coming! I really want to know how easy is it to bend this grille?? Is it pretty durable? Has anyone with the paint chipped their grille yet?

Help me decide!

I agree about the black. I still want to know from people who have it if it is sturdy, or can it be easily bent. Any problems?? Also, how is it installed, with screws or ties??

mattvs : Please help me out. Ties or screwed? Tough or easily bendable? Any regrets

I put these on last weekend. These are the FigureLLC grills that were powder-coated gloss black.

They are secured to the bumped via ties and you will need to drill six to eight 1/8" holes per grill opening. The holes will be covered if you ever decide to put the old grill back on. The grills seem pretty sturdy and the quality is great. No regrets, I think they look awesome. You can find the installation manual here for more info: http://www.figurellc.com/Model/Scion.../tC_Manual.pdf

Hope that helps!

i have the grille and i think the quality is grade A of course u could bend it to fit perfectly and installation has alot to do with if it looks crappy or beautiful. easy to instal but u'll need a friend to hold things in place if u want it to look perfect. i got the wet black which looks great.

i dont know if theres enuf room to put them over OEM fogs but i would think u can just situate it further out on the bottom to couter that.

Uses zipties. There's no bending needed, they come pre-bent and ready to install.

If you want to bend them, use a pair of pliars, as the metal is pretty thick and it will screw your hands up.

Keep the comments coming! Thanks for all the responses. You all have been a big help. I'm going to go with the Glossy Black for sure!! I think I will try to rig something to make it fit over the fogs. I e-mailed their customer service and they mentioned that they now make it with a fog insert for between the factory fogs! I'm seeing if they have pics and if there is a price difference. I'll keep you posted.

If you guys have any tips on the installation, please let me know. I'm kind of worried about drilling through the body! PLEASE, give me some tips or alternatives. Thanks!

no way around it. u gotta drill holes. good news is the holes are VERY small and u could not see them even if u take the grill out. so if u ever went back to the stock grille u would never know there were holes. the holes are only big enuf to slip a little zip tie in. dont be too scared. jut line it up RIGHT first. get a friend to hold it very still and drill.

That's the closest to the RS1 grille that I've seen.

how do you think this grill would look on a BSP tC? Glossy? or Flat? and maybe with a VVT-i emblem on the side.

I have the Figure Grille. So far I'm pretty please with the quality, I have it in gloss black. It's a lot thicker than gutter guard stuff and it comes pre bent so it goes in looking pretty good. I can't see anyone being able to bend gutter guard the way they have the grille bent. Installls with zip ties which sounds cheap but it's actually pretty sturdy. And I'm pretty sure they have a foglight grille option so.....
