Default First post: 2010 BSP purchase

Well guys and gals im new to the boards and just wanted to say whats up.

Last month my GF got a 2010 scion TC. After driving it for the first month she has seen many others on the road and has asked me to start looking for stuff for her.

So wanted to see if i could ask all you TC gurus where to go for some parts and what ya think.

Looking for a set of Black mesh wheels. ( Deep dish if possible )
Smoked headlights and taillights. ( HID kit )
Black Grille..
( She likes the RS1.0 style grill but as i read its hard to get.)

Also plan on doing a full exhaust intake and lowering the car. I guess the TRD springs will be good enough i assume?

let me know what ya think.

Welcome man. Before you buy anything I would say go read the buyers guides first. It'll help you decide which direction to go with parts. Also, if you are looking for wheels used may not be a bad option. Just go look around in the for sale threads area. Otherwise gl with everything.

^^reported you for being a noob

whats up!

i have trds and love them but some people dont like the drop because it really isnt that low. Just depends on how low you are looking to go, just look at the suspension section to get ideas of the different drops.

there are a million wheels so look through threads and you might find something you want.

grilles look on ebay for vrds

Lol you guys are a trip! I will be looking around for sure and hope to find a few things here and there. I already looked though alot of the DIY threads and am going to be changing the inner lights to blue.. she wanted pink but BLAH i drive the car just as much as she does lol. Need to find someone to do the LED's though. i am pretty tech savy but i dont like taking apart things that are my own. ( OCD if i see it, it i get frustrated)

garage1217.com or superbrightleds.com, i would suggest not going with blue because it gets really annoying, go with white.

I know how that goes. Look around for some guys in your area. I would do it for you if you lived near me and I know some other guys around here willing too. But anyone would be willing to help you out for a little extra cash.

Edit: What ^^^ said. garage will set you up.

Howdy! Welcome aboard and congrats to your gf for the tC.

Before I post my opinion I'd suggest you do a brief search on here...you'll end up finding tons of things you didn't even know....especially parts to buy.

Starting with the grill, I'd look into Fig...it's a company that makes impeccable grilles with amazing fitment...you could choose any color you want. Mind you that they are held with zip ties but no worries...they stay on for good! (you could find them on eBay for about $110)

Suspension-- Depending on the drop you're looking to achieve, TRD is a decent look or a bit more aggressive H-techs by Tein..unless you're looking for the biggest drop... S-techs (also by Tein) [most springs will run you about $160 before installation]

Smoked tail lights-- Anzo is a reputable company but I wouldn't know where to look, I would just spray them or apply vinyl myself....look around for that.

Head lights-- I would not tint them..just get a 4300k HID kit (for the most light output) and you will be happy as *****.

Rims-- just go on the wheel threads and start picking and crossing off.
Expensive wheels thread

Rest of the wheels thread

Exhaust I think you're covered with the answers above.

So there...this is pretty much my opinion...but just look around and you'll find a s__t load of things....

where u located? n most of what everyone said i agree with.

1. suspension, depends how low u finna go.
2. rims, there are plenty.
3. i managed to smoke my headlights and fogs, and then i blacked out my taillights just from reading the DIY here.
4. HIDXTRA is a great company and affordable.
5. RS1 grill, there is someone on here selling it for i think $200. if anything a VRD or ebay replica will do.
6. ledmod to the dash/radio/steeringwheel and door accents. LEDmod has a whole kit.
7. domelights/bulbs...superbrightleds.com
8. welcome and glw everything.
