i've had my tc for about 4 months now and i still havent been able to choose a color/theme for my car. anybody have any color suggetions or pictures? i've searched and saw a couple engine covers painted and some dash painted but what color goes best with Flint Mica?

red / blue / yellow / white / black / grey .. ect??

items i would like to color match:
- engine cover
- front bumper mesh
- ground wires
- painted dash
- various hoses
- under glow (maybe)
- decals (maybe)
- pedals
- inside glowkit (maybe)

 

well... im doin white, but i think yellow lighting would work well

 

i was thinking about going with yellow (hince my username) but i'm not sure if it would look nice with FM .. maybe blue? do you have any pictures of white stuff added to your car davedavetc ??

 

Just stay away from green. Green is the worst color to use in a FM tC. Don't go with green at all. Stay away from it, mmmkay?

um. no i dont but i could take some tonight if i remember o bring my camera to my car lol. i have 2 white cathodes in the dash and 2 more under the dash. looks pretty good if i do say so myself

i also plan on getting some hyper white bulbs (or HIDs) for my lows. and yellow bulbs for my fogs (maybe HIDs also). but a while ago i had the Luminics JDM yellow and i put them as my low beams and it looked SICK.

Honestly, any color works with FM. Yellow is just another green. If ya look at my car domain link in my siggie, you'll see what I've done so far with the green lighting. If you apply the same color throughout, you'll be alright. I.E. yellow for parking lights, yellow lighting inside (which amber will closely match, if not, do your gauges in white), and maybe yellow underbody lighting. You'll be fine. I haven't seen a color combo on a FM not work yet.

 

i have all white for most of my LIGHTings and stuff.

10k hids
white turn signals
white dt bulbs
white interior bulbs

i was mainly thinking about the non-bulb items. stuff like the engine cover / pedals / decals / mesh / ground wires

 

paint.... i wouldnt go yellow. i did a really crappy job painting my dash black/white. but thats gonna get fixed.

 

haha I was gonna say yellow before I saw it in the options or I saw the other posts. Just be VERY careful choosing the shade. HOWEVER, I would steer clear from the engine cover/mesh in yellow (well maybe the mesh) because those things have huge surface area and Yellow is best as a highlight. The completely yellow engine cover may turn out an eyesore, maybe choose to paint only certain parts of it yellow. Still however extreme you want to go, that's up to you. I enjoy subtle touches.

 

IMO Flint Mica goes best with Flint Mica....i painted my wheels FM/interior parts FM/engine cover FM/and even my windshield squirters FM. i plan on doing my inner/underglow red though..along with my gagues and my calipers

 

i would go with black. imho any color theme makes your car look rice. i guess thats just the way i am. it just looks really cheap and tacky. good luck

 

:D all replies from my fellow FM group, yeah i was thinking black but then again.. its already black.. i was thinking somewhat grey or something but again, its already kinda grey. maybe just blue underglow and blue engine cover or something.. nothing extreme
