Unhappy Fog Light Replacement

So as everyone knows there was a blizzard out in the mid-atlantic. Well the roads still suck and not many are plowed there are potholes everywhere and my right Fog Light is no longer working (probably killed the bulb).

I also have a ground effects kit on my car that Scion sells, it's a 2006. My question is, is it possible to get to the bulb with my hand take it out and put a new bulb in. I hear Scion charges an arm and a leg to replace fog lights and I wanted to know if it was possible to do with no tools at my hand to do it.

Any help would be appreciated.

You may be able to reach behind the bumper from the top and take the socket out. Or you could just push the bottom grille out and do it that way.

Do you happen to know what bulb it takes?

I'm assuming to pop out the grille I would need a special tool to do this, if so which one? I'll see if my skinny arms can reach the socket, but probably wont.

Nope. Just a flat head screw driver. There are honeycombs around the edge of the grille that aren't open and that's where you place the screw driver. You probably could just push it with your hand though.

Well 1 hand can reach the light, but I can't fit two hands down to release the clip to take the bad bulb out and put a new one in. I don't think pushing the grille out will help since I have a ground effects kit on I won't be able to push it back forward. :/

Any ideas?

I have the ground effects kit as well. Usually I push the top grille out and use that opening to reach down and push the bottom grille back in.

You shoudln't have to pull any clips to get the bulb out of the light housing, just turn the bulb to one side (its different depending on what bulb it is) and it slides right out. Then you can atleast pull the wire w/ the bulb up higher to get the bulb out of the socket. Its a pain but doable.
