If I had to choose, I'd go with the VRD foglights. The OEM fogs do a good job, but I'm not a fan of the placement of them. The VRDs fit in the corners where the mock-vents are.

I have the VRD fog lights. They cost me $255 on ebay. Looks much better than the originals and basically cost the half. I think is a better buy. I also installed them myself. I have no experience in this things and I found they're pretty easy to install. About 45 minutes.

fog lights
I'm not a big fan of the placement of the OEM fogs either but i'm wondering comparing the VRD to the OEM...I think the oem puts alot more light out onto the ground right?? the OEM lights look nice at nite but during the day...ehhh what ever. haha
has any one put HID into there VRD fogs?? if so please let us know about the light output.

I caution anyone on the OEM foglights because of a couple incidents my parents tC has had with them. Because of the collapsible design of new cars (for accidents/safety) the foglights on my parents tC have come loose from road debris.
The first was understandable (rabbit hit at 80 mph) and the second was just small rocks and pebbles, all incidents have occured on the highway. Both times the foglights and the meshgrill attached to them came loose and rested awkwardly near the radiator. Both times the brackets broke and the lights needed a whole new mesh grill. The first time, Scion replaced it, but the second time my dad didnt even bother, just took the lights and grill out completely, lol.
The OEM lights look good IMO, but I'm wary on their 'toughness' on my own tC.

I have the OEM and I love 'em. OEM integration in terms of wiring and switches blending in to the rest of the interior is always a plus. And I think they look great. And you can easily modify them to turn on with the parking lights, as I have done.
