Default Fog lights or not?

Hey guys. I have a 2009 tC and was wondering about whether or not to put the fog lights in. My brother doesn't like them, but I do. What do you guys think? I'm getting some HID's for my regular headlights soon, and was thinking about doing some HID fogs too. Yes? No? Thanks.

I'm getting 10k headlights and probably the 10k fogs too. Do they look good? I mean I personally like them. I was looking at getting the smoke OEMs.

Do y'all have the ones that go in the bumper or the grille? I was looking at the ones that insert into the bumper in the slots already there. And is the 10k too bright for the fog or something?

I personally like the grille ones the best. And as for the 10k its just a matter of brand, I have 10k HID's in my headlights and I see great with it, but then again mine are kinda like a sky blue so, it just really depends on how blue they are for you to be able to see good.

I liked my bottom grill fog lights. Threw some bright PIAAs in there and they looked sharp. The bumper fogs do have the edge though. Not to mention theyre rare. Alot of young chicks driving around with grill fogs these days.

@SciMeiji So you have grille fogs, but you like the bumper fogs better?
@SWtCinNC I'm getting 10k in my headlights for sure. Just not sure about fogs. I kinda wanted them to match. I don't want like yellow fogs with blue headlights, you know.

It has nothing to do with brand. It has to do with the amount of light (lumens) that it produces. The higher the K (Kelvin) the less useable light. Not that the light isn't there, but the wavelength of those higher temps aren't as visible to the human eye.

What i was saying is some 10k depending on who makes it are bluer than others. My friend has 10k on his car and he cant see anything there so blue but mine which are suposed to be blue are a lot whiter which allows me to see more, what your saying is correct, i was stating that some brands colors are more intense than others..

Yeah I would just get the same for your fogs then, I wanted mine to be yellow, but if I didnt go in that direction id just get matching colors.

I didn't realize the higher the Kelvin the lower visibility and less light until I started doing some research. I think I'm gonna go with either 5000 or 6000. Anybody have either and care to share on visibility?

This is a good topic. I had the ebay fog lights but I didn't like them as much. Will APT fogs look better than eBay fogs with the 08-10 projector headlights?

I just got the Hella OptiLux 1100 Projector fog lights and will be fiberglassing them into my RS8.0 black blanks in a month or so. I had fogs on my FX16 GTS and loved them, especially in So. Cali where fog is present
