Default Fugly Spare

Whats up scionians! Ha ha, I just joined scionlife but I've been visting this site for awhile to get info on a/m products for my ride. I got my 06 flint mica TC back in july, and I already had a nail go through one of my tires. I put the spare on and it's got this mustard yellow rim that is so ugly! Jut wondering if everyone else's spare tires are this way.

Both of my 06 tC's have the yellow-green spares. I guess they're all like that. I think they make it horrible to look at so that you go get your tire fixed and don't use the spare long term.

Odd, I put some new tools in the trunk today and I swear it was black...have to check that tomorrow.
I'm sure you guys are right though - if it's that color, it was either made to make you change it ASAP, or it's meant to match the pix in taek's car!

I solved that problem a month ago ... bought an extra stock wheel and it's sitting in my garage just in case anything happens.

Not if you value your last lunch.

I had the car torn apart installing some things after purchasing it, when a friend suggested I remove the spare and inspect it. I actually thought they had switched the real spare with a fake as a joke.

Hey maybe we are looking at this all wrong, anybody want to ask French's mustard for a sponsorship??

You could always mount it backwards. . . lol. They are giving that yellow spare to Lexus models without a full size spare as well. . .

I was thinking that it might be to alert other drivers as well. You're "supposed" to drive slower and more carefully on a spare, and if other drivers see your gimp wheel, they cut you some slack?
