I've been talking with the doc about making some carbon fiber radiator plates for us tC owners. Only problem is, carbon fiber sheets in that size are expensive and it's not as easy to work with.
So, what we have here is just a basic gauging interest thread to see if it would be worth doing this. You all know Doctor Isotope's work and they would look just like his other radiator plates, only carbon fiber.
We need about 15 people to make this worth doing so. Price will be about $75 - $80 with shipping.
THIS IS JUST A GAUGING INTEREST THREAD. There are no pictures of the actual product yet because we do not have the material on hand, hence the reason for this thread. They will look just like the rest of docs radiator panels, only carbon fiber.

Cut.
No. It will be basic 2x2 weave in black.
No. It would have to be multiple pieces to do that. And in case you haven't checked, CF goes for $30-60 a square foot, depending on the thickness.

Cool, I was hoping for the possibility of a matte finish.
Cool. I'm perfectly happy with the flat plastic DocI panel that does not cover the support, I was just asking. And no, I haven't checked ...I'm the end consumer, why would I have any reason to check on the sq.ft prices of unfinished cf? lol.
Out of curiosity, why would it have to be multiple pieces? I take it you're starting with a flat pre-finished piece?
...either way, as usual I'm sure we can all expect to see a quality product from the Doc!
