Default GI: in new antennas

Hello everyone,

I didn't know where else to post this but i figuared this would be the best, I want to see the interest in a new antenna i have it will fit all toyota's, lexus and scions, its smaller and shorter than the s2k antenna its only 2.5 inchs tall and made of all metal and painted black, the reception is not affected in anyway, at least in my use ive never had it affect it. anyway i was thinking of selling them for about 35- 40 each more expensive than the s2k antenna but its smaller , custom made, and made for our cars. Let me know you input.

I understand that they are custom made, but $40 is too steep for a mast. Most people on here complain about $20 for an S2K antenna. Good luck though, it looks really nice; the antenna isn't bad either.

at $40, it'll never sell in any sort of quantity.

*maybe* at $20

I like it. If I didn't have a S2K antenna, I might consider it. You should include a small bottle of loctite with every order.

the thing is..at those sizes, you cant expect any decent quality in reception..its more of a hiding feature.. I have that one I linked from ebay.. and have tried a few others because they were stolen.. trust me.. not a single one provided any higher or even equal quality than the stock antenna..

you have to convince people that yours is worth the extra 28 bucks.. and thats going to be pretty difficult.. people buying these smaller antennas are doing so because,

1. they dont listen to the radio so they care not for reception
2. they are trying to hide the size.. or at least get it alot smaller than the stock
3. metal or plastic, 2.5 or 3 inches, it's all about the price.. why would someone pay 28 extra bucks for yours when they can get the one I linked, and dont even use the radio to begin with? =P

not trying to be mean, just pointing stuff out that you may or may not have thought of..

its not mean at all its perfectly fine it points out pros and cons this is a guaging interest, its totally fine

i can pretty much guarentee thats the reception will be at least equal to that of a stock antenna, the all metal construction was supposed to help in reception as apposed to the plastic or rubber

If you do throw in a small bottle of loctite like MJV suggested, I would HIGHLY suggest including a release of liabilities/warning letter stating that the loctite would most likely be permanent (dont want to get sued I'd imagine)

I like the other pictures in your photo album more than the antenna pictures, but I might be interested in a few weeks.
