call me mister practical here... but I foresee that working properly for about 1 year. Sealing issues, mechanical issues, etc out the yayhoo. Neato concept I guess, but too complex for a car door.
Ok, that was really cool for about one minute until you think about the fact that you can't get out of your car in a regular parking space. THE ENTIRE DOOR has to swing down and then slide in.
It was cool at first but just not practcal!!!

And if you read it, the drivers door already doesnt work. It took a "skilled mechanic" to get the passenger door to work on a concept car with only 43,000 miles on it. The company scrapped the design cause they didnt like it.
Again, a neat display of an idea, but I wouldnt expect to see it coming out like it is any time in the near future

Yeah, definitly hideous IMO. No speakers, no where to rest your arms, window looks like its having a heck of a time rolling up and down, dirt will get all over that side piece when its down. Its not pratical, feasible, and in my case, Likable. Seems it would be messed up within the first year.
