Default Got my Kaminari........

That is all I have for now.........they put the wrong latch on the hood and it is like 1.7" too long so I am making a bracket to remount the hood clip latch further down......had to cut a bunch of the support off and make a new bracket to mount the thing to and tomorrow I gotta make a mount bracket fro each side of the latch on the radiator bracket........when it is done it should be stronger than the stock mounts though.........

More photos tomorrow..........it is dark and raining now..........

Persoanlly i would of been ____ed off about the latch being wrong, i would not want to spend all this money on a hood and have to modify it to work....They claim its a direct replacement part and thats not right....I would call and complain about this however i do respect yuor effort in making it work post more pics please...........

Yeah we will let them know.........I most likely will be just using hood pins anyway and can the latch all together.........it is weird though..........fittment other than that is perfect........unless the 08s have something differant going on withthe latches onthe car.........I will be up first thing inthe mornign and get photos up........it looks really good onthe car.........it closes and latches but I need to finishthe latch mounts on the radiator.........couple of hours work and $5 in parts from home depot........

Shouldn't be much of a difference. I could be wrong

Aside from the headlamps and grill, the hood looked pretty much the same to me.

hate to tell ya this but all ya had to do was unbolt the latch on the car move it down and then rebolt it. it is designed to be moved. My kami was PERFECT and so has everybody else's. I did have to move my latch down and move my bump stops to get it fitted tho. It's gonna take u anywhere from 3--5 tries to get it fittd perfectly.

Not on my latch........the support bar goes all the way to the bottom of the latch........think they either put wrong piece on or redid the latch for 08......but on the high side I will have the only hidden latch as it now sits below the doc I plate and I modded the pull part as well........calling kaminari ina few minutes........to get measurments of the latch on hood to see if they put wrong one or if 08 is designed differant.

Sounds to me like the car is different cause the latch for kami is the same on all the ones I've seen. I don't see why they would change the latch tho. U shouldve had 3 bolts u can losen to to raise/lower or move side to side for the latch on the car.

U won't have any problems I assure u. Just adjust the latch on the car. It has 3 bolts that hold it on that u can losen to give u some adjustment.

Yeah from what I have found the latch is just the wrong length onthe hood.......it is 1.5" too deep.......the latch mechanism only has .25 in any direction of movement.......but to be honest the new bracket i made is stronger and is working perfect........attached some final photos of the hood installed........works perfect.

sorry they are not high def photos.........I do not have a nice camera.....

Not bad, about how long did it take you to get it installed and everything?

On my version which I just had to move the latch on the car I think it took us maybe 20 minutes and that was to completely fine tune it. I promise u won't find a better fitting cf hood. Just wish they would make a hatch to match. Ha ha

If you do not include the drilling for the washer nozzles or the latch issue..........it took under 20 minutes to install..........old hood took longer to get off than this one to install.fitment is perfect..........they did a great job of making it.........just a weird latch.......

Does the hood come with "hole placement marks" for the window washer nozzles? Very interested in this hood probably next on my list.

Yeah it does. I just run mine without the nozzles. I think it looks cleaner and I don't ever use it anyways. Just clean the windows when I am stop at a gas stations.
