Got my tC ground effects kit on
I got this from TRDSparks.com for $907 shipped - an awesome price. I put it on over the course of the weekend in between stuff I had to do. Overall install was very simple. Any do it yourselfer could do this and save themselves the $200-$300 that the local dealer wanted to install it. I think it improves the appearance of the car very well.

How long did it take you for the install? I have always wanted the kit, but like you I wanted to do everything myself. You have to cut some sort of slots in the front and rear bumper covers, right?
You have to pull the front and rear bumpers, and both of the skirts off. It doesn't take very long to do any of that. I think the biggest pain in the ___ was the plugs on the bottom of the side skirts. It's pretty hard to get those out and you pretty much end up breakin all of the clips. They provide you with new ones with the kit though.
The it's pretty nice and comes with instructions, and everything you need to put it on. You get a lot of new hardware to replace the stuff you've gotta remove since you usually mar those cheap plastic clips when you remove them.
You do have to cut slots in the bumper. It's not too hard though. I just used a Dremel with a drill bit in it and cut sideways like a router. Just put some masking tape on the painted side of the bumper and you'll be fine. All of the holes you have to kit are pre-marked on the inside of the bumper so you know exactly where to do them and what size to make them. The kit overlaps them by about 3-4mm on top so you've got a little bit of room for error. They don't have to be PERFECT but you've gotta come pretty close to doing it right.
I'd say anyone that's fairly confident of working on their own car without breaking stuff should be able to do this with little problems. Overall it took about 4-5 hours to do everything. It would have gone a lot faster if I would have had a lift.
As it was I layed on some cardboard on the ground.

Thanks for the tips
I helped put an OEM kit on an Integra GSR once, and it sounds like this procedure is quite similar. With the Integra, the only parts we had to cut were two holes in the rear bumper cover. The crappy thing is, the holes would be very visible if the rear lip was ever taken off. It sounds like that is the same case with the tC kit.

That was the idea. The background wasn't really interesting or anything so I didn't care if people paid much attention to it. I thought it was a pretty sweet effect.
It can be attributed more to Photoshop than the camera itself though. I don't have a lens long enough to generate an effect like that on the camera itself. My 300mmm telephoto will do something similar, but I would have had to stand like 50 feet away at 300mm to achieve the same effect.
