Has anyone seen this product or know if it is actually suppose to do something?

The panel is supposed to direct more air to the radiator, but really it just looks nice when you pop the hood. Its a cheap mod, I'm still waiting for my shipment, maybe it will be in today.

 

I dont mean to sound like an @$$ but read under the picture, the Product Description says it all. If they had this for the xB, I would already have it. It looks nice, makes a difference in under hood Tempratures, and is affordable.

A cheap mod? For $63? No way... it would be cheap if it were like $20. I might even pay $30 for something like this. No way would I pay over $50.

yes, pictures of it installed on the tC. I have seen them on is300's and they look sexy, wanted to know if it would have the same effect on the tC

 

I just installed it on my tC. I had to do one slight modifcation though so that it would fit better. Ill see if i can get some pics up as soon as i learn how to. I know im a dumba$$. Sorry

 

what modification did you have to do? and what did it involve? (tools, cutting, etc.)

 

Well after i installed the panel i noticed that the hood stan no longer clamps down all the way due to the panel. Of course i found out after i tried closing the hood to see what would happenend and i dented the panel a little.

The modification is simple ...... i used a dremel and just sanded the bottom end slightly so that the hood can close without further denting the panel. I only sanded it so that hood can close without anymore denting but it still doesn't clamp oh well.

I don't know why greddy didn't think to do something about that but oh well you can avoid this problem completly if you get the redline? hood strut or wat eva its called.

It cleans up the look a lot though i think. Ill try to get pics ups

but how would that affect greddys air diversion ? i dont see how the stock hood support hit's it. I would think greddy engineered it to fit onto the stock vehicle set up

yeah i meant you could avoid problem if you got redline hood lift.
