They may look good, but who really wants to drill holes and attach a grill with zip ties?! Just poor design IMO

how are you gonna be a smartass and not give an answer yourself?

but here, ill clarify my answer more.

Grillcraft grills: The instructions for the upper one tell you to mount it infront of the stock grill. But, you dont have to, it can attach to the bumper just fine w/o the OEM grill (see pics in my profile).

The bottom grill attaches to the bumper, and the old OEM grill is removed. (see pics in profile)

Figure Fig FTW! I don't really care about having to use zip ties. It's not difficult. Even a monkey could do it. The install might take a bit longer, but who cares, it's definitely worth it.

What he said. Also you dont use any part of the OEM grilles for fig, you take those out and put these in. You dont even see the ties when its installed anyways.

They sell on eBay but they are 100% legit. Great service and product. This is a link to one of their official listings...

My comment about zip ties had nothing to do with the install time. I was commenting on the structure and the cleanliness. I've seen all the types of grills up close, and the fig grills are by far the worst. It looks like 75 cent gutter guard from home depot. You can see the zip ties, and I don't think I could trust something that's held on with plastic going 80 mph. Just my opinion of course, but why wouldn't you want a product that fits like stock and secured like stock

Zip-ties are 'duct tape' of the new Millennium.

FIG Grilles (Gloss Black) FTW! My Grilles are held on with 8 zippies each. They ain't going anywhere.
Lastly, I bought the FIGs because the VRDs weren't available at the time.

I like the feel of the metal Fig rather than a piece of plastic.

I don't know what you have against zip ties. Knowing how solid my Figure grille is, I would much rather use zip-ties than simply pushing a grille into the opening and expecting the stock tabs to hold it in place. My grille is actually secured in place, unlike other grilles which just rely on tension. If you don't know what you're doing with the zip ties then I imagine you could do a pretty bad job, but if you aren't a complete noob then you will appreciate the value of the zip ties. I removed my bumper and added extra zip ties, and then tensioned all of them with all my strength. The grille now feels like a fixed part of the bumper. The whole thing feels like one solid unit. There is no movement and there is no way that grille is coming out, no matter how hard you pull or push on it. The zip ties are also not visible when you have a black grille and when you fasten them in the correct direction so as to hide the excess out of view.

So with the Fig you keep the OEM grills in and use zip ties to hold them on? Did I get that right?

No. You remove the OEM grilles, as you should for any new grille. Buying a grille to put over the top of the OEM would be retarded. Anyway, with the Fig, you make a few holes in the plastic tabs which were used to secure the old grille, and you run zip ties through those holes to secure the new grille.
