Default which grille?

So here is how my car currently looks:

I love my 08 lower grille and plan on keeping that but I cant stand the upper grille. My original plan was to fab a badgeless 05-07 grille but I've spent to much time and money already on that so I'm giving up for now... Maybe I'll pick the project back up later but it really isnt working out for me. So basically I'm now looking for a cheap solution to ditch that upper grille. Part of me wants to do a stock 05-07 grille because I live how the chrome accent looks but the other part of me doesnt want to have a badge on the front and go with something like this:

yeah its an ebay grille but w/e

what do you guys think? any opinions or thoughts would be greatly appreciated :-)

really? :-( I've seen other tCs on here with em and it looks okay, maybe they had to ziptie it though, and I dont think I wanna do that.

Actually a RS4 grille would be sweet, then I get badgeless and chrome trim lol

well what you want is the VRD one, it's what the ebay grille is trying to rip off, but the VRD one actually fits.

so yeah.

Vrd is overpriced, plus I only want the top and you have to buy both

fig grilles are the shiz. sure you can talk about how you dont want it held in by a bunch of zipties. have you ever tried to break a ziptie?! theyre pretty tough! my grilles look great and they only took like 15 minutes to drill the holes and put them in.

i guess if youre scared of zipties you could use some screws to put in your fig grille but zipties make the job so much easier.

you get what you pay for, and, sell your stock ones to make up the difference, get what you really want and stop whining.

Well its not really just the zip tie thing. I dont like how the grille isnt sunken in to the opening for it like other grilles. Just not my preference.

say no to ebay.

if the vrd is pricey, but way better made than the oem grill.

find a vrd used and paint it flat black like oem if you feel its too expensive.

FB grille ftw

I feel the same way about the FIG grille... it's protrudes out too much.

Yea the RS4 grille is pretty nice.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do or end up getting.
