I saw a set of mesh grilles on ebay for various prices. I was thinking of getting the RS1 grills but saw these so called "cheap knock offs" for a lot less and they look pretty much the same. For car shows, does it really matter if you have the real RS1 grills? I'm thinkin' just save money if it looks the same but I'm also thinkin exclusivity wins more show points? Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

 

to be honest you can have high end wheels and seats and what not and whoever is judging your car will not care about the quality or how much the part retails for, that's one thing that i noticed and alot of the cars now a days are all riced out and seem to win but to each their own and alot of this scene is all due about politics and who's **** you kiss. so in the end it really doesn't matter if you have real rs1 grills or fake ones as long as it's not a factory one then i guess you'll get some points in scion events and all car shows. hope you understand what i'm talking about...

 

Yup, I am save money if I can. Were you still selling your RS1 grills? I remembered you had a post a while back. Figured either way it wouldn't hurt to ask. And I don't plan on kissin' **** for a trophy. I know I earned my first one. Thanks Gato

 

no problem and yeah i was but not anymore and glad those didn't sell, you should buy the real ones that are for sale for $250 if you have the money. for the price it's a steal and just paint them black or powdercoat them, steve's where all chipped so i painted them bsp and it looks sick since the gun metal color looked abit off on the bsp.
