Default GROUND CLEARANCE

Okay. . .so im trying to get an idea on the effects of lowering my car and ground clearance (and how low I should go). . . this may sound lame, but how far off the ground is your car? this measurement is from the ground to the bottom of your bumper. Please include these specs:

1. Ground Clearance (from ground to bumper)
2. Body kit, or lip kit, or no kit
3. Lowering Springs
4. Rim size (including tires)

I already have 19's (225/35/19). . .I am looking at getting the viniati lip kit. . I just want to see how much I should lower it to get about a 6" gap between the ground and the lip kit. . . THANKS!!!!

I lowered my car 1.5" and as a daily driver I would not go much lower. I am careful around speed bumps and steep driveways I take at a angle just to make sure I don't hit.

I don't know my exact clearance, but I'm on hotchkis and 18's with the oem lipkit. I scrape everywhere I go, but usually its just a slight scrape on the bottom that no one will ever see. The drop looks really nice though.

How much is your clearance? I'm thinking about dropping it about 1.5 inches. . . . .

i really dont, usually only when im on the interstate and dont slow down for bumps and things like that. other then that, you just have to know how to drive, how to take turns, and how to take hills/ entryways/ railroad tracks.

i wouldnt change the set up i have.

if you really are debating it cause of the scraping then just know that it will happen a few times depending on how you drive. TRD are a good set of springs to lower it on but if you want it just a tab lower then go with Tein H-Tech and it will give it a good drop without having to worry about scrapinng much as to what i said about your driving.

Tein H-Techs will be the best for your situation. They are not dumped, but they make it so that you are noticeably lower. I have not scraped. Springs are great. Go with the H-Techs. Talk to JSCSpeed on this site to get a great deal!

Plus with H-techs, you can get some big wide tires/rims later on and not worry as much about rubbing.

Then why do it if you know that you rub? isn't that dangerous?

some turns are just fun to go fast on! but now that that body kit is on, i keep it slow. so i only rub if i go through a dip in the road too fast. (dest happen often.)
