Are those the $1k ones with the signal LED thing in the upper part? I dont like the price but they look super nice and I would consider getting them.

clearcorners.com makes some for a crap load of money.

umnitza makes demon eyes and they are very nice but very fragile. I have them on my car.

a little update and short story.

Got the DDE's, installed them(pain in the @ss), broke large ring, ordered new one, broke that one, ordered another, installed them, now I have faulty ballast.

At this time I am not recommending this mod to anyone....

They were broken cause he wasn't careful enough.

They are EXTREMELY fragile prior to being mounted....

For anyone who saw them at ScionNight on my car, trust me... they are an awesome addition to any tC, you just need to be exercise extreme caution prior to securing them in your housing. I've had 0 problems with them and a ton of support when I had questions.

They are very beatiful even on non-painted stock housings.

there is no manufactored projector headlights out for the tc. the handful of tc with projectors are all retrofitted.

When we first started mods like this, it was exclusively for the BMW - which had headlights that not only were removed from the car in 10 mintues or less with no bumper removal, it was an unsealed headlight, taking 30 minutes to complete the whole install.

As we began making these things for Maxima, Altima, and Lexus IS300s, we evolved the rings into many many different applications.

The Scion rings are EXCLUSIVE to the Scion, they were custom designed for you.

Breaking them is VERY VERY VERY hard to do, why? Because they are exactly the dimensions of your car's headlights. There are no clips to fiddle with (a problem on older sets for Maxima and other cars), no additional mounting tabs, no nothing. The rings are designed to fit.

Some great pictures were taken this weekend, as soon as they get off loaded from the camera, you'll get to see them

there is a very strong adhesive that seals the lens to the housing of the headlight. this is to block out all moisture from geting into the headlight.

when you bake the headlight, you heat up that adhesive, and make it easier to remove the lens from the housing.

Im assuming you bake it back together? how do you ensure a good seal? do you use a clamp to hold it together while its setting?
