Hatch Scion Emblem Removal
Hey Guys,
Im in Boston right now, and Im not near my car, but Im planning a list of the things I need to do when I get back to NY
As far as the rear emblem is concerned, is it double stick taped on? or are there pin holes too? I want to paint it black then re-install it.
Whats the easiest way to take this bad boy off?
-thanks!

as i posted in your other one. its a double post. and BUMP cause id like to know how to remove this too.. just goo gone? i tried heating and prying it out but it was hard as hell to get out soooo there goes that idea..
1. SEARCH!
2. SEARCH!!
3. SEARCH!!!
These questions have been covered before. Removal is easy...heat emblem, use floss or fishing line in a 'sawing motion', just be careful of the alignment pins on the front and rear "Scion" emblems. You can use Goo-Gone to get the left-over adhesive off your car, but its not necessary. To put it back on, you can use heavy duty automotive double-sided adhesive or a silicone adhesive. To actually paint your emblems, you're going to have to SEARCH for that one!

ive removed badges from all sorts of cars
goo gone is harmless, as long as you use caution, and not a lot. Also, once you take off the emblem, wash the area with car soap and water, then put a coat of wax in that area to make sure it stays protected (just for safe measures)
ive never had any problems and I've done it a good 15 times.
