Default hate these n00b ?'s

so my vrd ballast have been out
for quite a while but never got
around to calling them being
the procrostinator that i am. . .

well, i finally did and ask
them how much are the ballast
separately? their response was
that they dont sell them individaully
but have to buy the vrd fog set AGAIN!

does anyone else make the ballast
besides vrd? are you selling one?

The VRD fogs don't come with ballasts. They come with regular halogen h3 bulbs which do not need a ballast to run. Sounds like you have an HID kit in the VRD fogs, in which case you would just need to contact the person of whom you bought the HID kit from to see if they can sell you a replacement ballast.

You don't need to buy a whole new set of VRD fogs. lol

sorry for insufficient information
am kinda not supposed to be online
during class haha but whatever. . .

yeah, i had bought the vrd fogs with yellow hid's from
their ebay store a while back (June lol)

ever since i had installed them, 1 hid would flicker,
i checked everything (hid bulb, relay harness, fuses,
wire meltdown, i even switch the bulbs to the other ballast just to make sure, etc.)
and everything seemd fine so i came to the conclusion
that i had a defective ballast. then the other went out on me too

(im trying to make this long story short )

i never called or emailed untill today. . .since its been a long while ago,
i cant return them. . .so i called to purchase 2 replacement ballasts and
they basically told me. . .in these EXACT words (or atleast close to). . .
"we dont sell the ballast separatly. you have to buy another set."

i then asked if anyone else makes them and
was told that he wasnt sure.

(i have a set of extra ballast for my headlights and obviously
wont fit for my fogs. . .)

so back to my question:
who has an extra pair of vrd ballasts for sell?
or where else to buy?

easiest thing will be to buy new HIDs with new ballasts (hopefully with a relay harness!) and go along your way. Its sad to see that VRD wont take care of you (even though we don't know the full story) and that the ballasts are only available in the set (which is odd since VRD themselves don't list a model on their website with HIDs)

I say go with MobileHIDs, contact cliff directly, and tell him equinox2355 from SL sent you, and he will take good care of you!

People are trying to help you. READ!

VRD fogs do NOT come with HIDS. If yours did, you must have bought them from someone on ebay, who put them in. This is not VRD's fault. This is the fault of the person who you bought them from, for using a bad quality brand. You should not have to turn the lights on and off several times to get them to work. buy a quality set like mobilehid or 3bspec.

the ballast brand was made by RStype/RType or something...not branded VRD. Crap ballasts IMHO. HID in VRDS blind like crazy...but oh wellz. i love using them for DRL.... I keep them on always and when i remote start, it lights the street up when i walk towards my car...
