Default Headlight Armor on BSP *PICS*

Got my headlight overlays from headlight armor last friday and installed them over the weekend. The install was pretty frustrating for a while but I did get pretty good at it. Left headlight took like 20-30 minutes but the right only took about 5. It was tricky to get out all the bubbles. I thought they looked great until it became night and I flicked on my main headlight bulbs. It really exposes a lot of distortion in the center of the headlights which looks like precipitation so obviously I have some water still left under the headlight im assuming. Hopefully it will go away or im screwed. Heres some crappy cellphone pics of the install and 1 nightshot with just my corner lights on.

mid install comparing stock to smoked

done

night shot. just the parking lights are on they dont block out THAT much light =P

Yeah, the first one is b^%ch to put on. I too had bubbles underneath mine when I was done. Mine were small enough that they eventually evaporated. (2-3 days later.) If your light output isn't great, try this mod...

9006 to 9005 Headlight Retrofit Mod

That should brighten them up a bit.

i have sylvania silverstars in my car and just so you guys know it does make them look yellow instead of white if you put these smoked colored overlays (not the HID Blues). the light output only reduced about 15% maximum and some of it is from the distortion of bubbles that I had. You can see the light reflecting on the ground kind of like sunlight going through a pool it has wavy shadows if u look real close. Hopefully over the next few days they will tone down if not ill have to see what i can do.

well since that was about 2 hours that I installed im thinking it will work itself out in a few days a little better. Its not that bad at all you can tell its only my imperfections in the bubbling that has done it not the headlight armor overlays themselves. On the sections without distortion im happy with the light output but I may change to that 9006 mod just cause im curious to the difference. I also want to changeout the orange bulb on the inner section (towards the grill) of the headlights if anyone knows the size im sure its been discussed here a lot. Maybe with a blue or white one?
