Default Help!

So recently I just washed my car and forgot to dampen the Chami (or however you spell it.) It's the leather drying thingy...similar to Sham-Wow but a leather version. Usually you're suppose to dampen it but me being stupid forgot to dampen it before using it so........I ran it across the front of my hood before i realized that it wasn't wet.

Now i have this grainy feeling whenever i run my hand across the front of the hood and there are some of those grainy specs on my passenger side headlight (I didn't run the chami over that.)

Would a claybar session help it out any?

just wax as you dry with a microfiber towel or just a regular bath towel and then proceed with ur waxing/polishing.

chamis are not worth it.

haha i figured that out now LOL. And after driving from SF to Fresno i have rock chips galore on my hood front fenders and a big dash of missing paint on my front bumper............Thanks for insuring that clay bar session would remedy this!

Not really willing to pay $20+ for something that wouldn't work and make it smooth again!

It does work on the headlights. But it will only take off grime and dirt, dead bugs and such. It will have no effect on chips or anything like that. Use lots of the spray the give you too!

Yep. I tried it on my cousin's RSX. His headlights were practically yellow. I spent some time rubbing it and saw some big improvement. Still got yellowing, but big improvement nonetheless

If you're heading to the store, there are specific cleaners that can clean headlights. I think one is called Plast-X or something like that. But yeah, it won't hurt to try the claybar on the headlight while you're cleaning up your hood.

Cool cool. well if i can hit two birds with one stone that'd be awesome haha Don't want to be buying too many products and then later see them go in the trash from no use
