Hey guys im planning on learning how to tint so i figured i'd start with my tails (the actual windows are professionally done) then tint a few of my friends cars for practice (they dont care too much about their cars) then eventually do the tint on my other cars...i dont want to get it professonally done because its a lease and i may smoke the lights but want to be able to remove them if they dont look as good

are there any sites or posts that you guys can link me to that would help with the install? also is there anything that would help with the removal of the tint as well?

i've also heard that i should use vinyl on the tails and if so would it be using the same technique?

 

applying vinyl and tint, though both use similar techniques...

tinting (as in tinting windows) is a much more defined and specialized in the process.. it requires much more precision as well as a more refined process

vinyl for the taillights are best, and they are very easy to remove. just peel off.

removing tint is a whole other story though

 

Vinyl is really hard on the tails if you don't know what you are doing...
Its ridiculous

 

so any links on how to get this done? i've googled a few things but most of them are instructions for pre-cut tints i'm probably gonna get a roll of tint from someplace cheap and just go to town
