Heres what I want to do.... (Auto mirrors when in reverse)
Okay, So in my never ending quest to modify all of the electronic componants of my tC I thought of somthing I have seen on a Lincoln before...
When you put the car in reverse (The lincoln) It would automaticly tilt the driver and passenger mirrors downward so that you could see the curb and not clip your wheel.
I have found this a very big problem with the tC and I have almost taken out my rear a few times due to not having this option.
My proposal is to build a system of relays to activate and move the mirrors for you when in reverse. I understand and can build it to put them down, but its getting them back into the set location after reversing that I am curious about. I was thinking a timer circut, but that would be very complex and bulky. I am trying for simple here.
Anyone have any thoughts?

What if you're just backing out of parking space in a lot, I'd find it annoying if the mirrors automatically lower to the ground. Perhaps you could use a switch instead of making it go automatically. I have no idea how you would do that though.
that's a good idea... mb u should see how the vehicle's w/the option on them currently do it?
in addition to lincoln's, i've driven some bmw's and mb's w/that option and it's helpful every once in a while.
sometimes, i find myself "manually" adjusting the mirrors downwards to make sure i don't curb my wheels

yeah, you may be able to adapt one from another car...
my jetta does that too. I checked it out after reading about it in the owner's manual. I used it once in my driveway just to see it work but I deactivated it after that. I rarely (once so far this year) parallel park anyhow.

My uncle's 2006 Acura TL has it. You can also control which one you want to tilt. If you click the switch to driver side it will tilt driver side and if you want the passenger it works just the same. You could try to get the components from the car and try to wire it into the Tc.
