Hey noob question...
I dont know how to replace the licence bulb ...
is it easy ?? i never mess with the ligght ... so i dont know how... well, thanks for the help. |
This is a trick question. Some people (like me) will tell you it's super easy. Others will tell you that it's a major PITA to do this.
1. Just use a screwdriver wrapped in cloth and pop out the 2 plastic pieces on the hatch. 2. Reach in and twist away on the bulbs. (I can't remember which way you turn them.) 3. Pop out OEM bulb. 4. Replace with LED or bulb of your liking. 5. Put back together in reverse order. PURDY!!! https://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c...x/DSC00503.jpg https://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c...x/DSC00497.jpg Good luck! :silly: |

Hey Hyghgynx...First of all those lights look real nice over the rear license plate. What bulbs did you use? I'm thinking about going LEDs...thoughts?

they are 194 bulbs like your dome and parking lights.. yes led light are fine coz you dont get so much heat in them

Hey are your tail lights the ones that the dealership offer? The TYCs? They look really nice how come the bottom lights are red and not white....did you fix them yourself?
|
^^ I think he painted it with those VHT spraypaint thingys in red. It's so cool, isn't it? :D
BTW, I like your SN. I like a frank person. :P |

https://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c...x/DSC01247.jpg If you're interested in doing this, all you really have to know is how to spray paint. (Or know somebody who knows how to spray paint.) Probably the hardest part of this process is the wet sanding because you need 2 people to do it. (Well, you could do it solo, but 2 peeps make it a hell of a lot easier!) Good luck with whatever you decide to do. |

plastic pannels on the INSIDE of the hatch. thats all u need. youll see the lights right there.. there easy to undo but the twisting part is quite hard.. may need plyers or something to loosen it the first time.

Thanks!!! :)
