Hi Beam Driver Side
Greetings everyone,
This is my first post to this forum; and I do apologize for requesting some help, but I am desperate (kinda) for a solution!
I've been looking around on this website for help and electric manuals and whatever i can find. I am 100% stumped and using my logics.
Problem:
ONLY my driver side HI BEAM will not turn on. RH hi beam works fine.
What has been done:
1 - All (4) headlight fuses checked, good to go.
2 - new 9005 high temp wire harness purchased and installed. Using new, regular sylvania bulbs (not those crazy high watt ones); also have old ones not dead.
3 - there is current going to the (Yellow / Y) wire from the 10AMP HI DH fuse when high beam switched on.
4 - grounded neg wire on headlight harness to a bolt on body, then hi beam worked. but connect it back to the red wire, then the hi beam doesn't work.
REFERENCE PAGES: 24, 34, 72, 73.
Both the red (for neg driver side) & black (neg for pass side) run to 1B in the panel (#16 and #34 respectively). The important thing is the wire from the C7 (Combo switch) runs TO the #4 (1J connector), then splits off to the headlights.
SO , my logics tell me, the red wire from the headlight harness to the #16 (1B connector) has somehow come loose or deteriorated cause of the damn winter weathers in WI!!
PLEASE, anyone help me or correct me, if I'm wrong! I am in need of high beams as fall approaches because I drive a lot on the country roads!!!
