HID Ballast question
couple of things about aftermarket HID kits, Their ballasts are usually tested only with their bulbs vice versa
technically you can use different ballast, but some of them work differently and can affect brightness and also life of the bulbs. You just need the right connectors
having two different ballast may have different lighting output and lifespan of bulbs, so generally, people would use the same type ballasts
i'd check for warranty
where did you mount your ballasts? and which one went out? perhaps water?

the driver side ballast.
"I found a metal frame on the driver's side opposite the radiator. It's like a bar with some holes. I used three zip ties and the holes on the ballast and frame to secure it."
-from the techone install post, and this is where i mount the ballst.
i tried to get warranty but the seller first told me he/she had to receive the ballast then send it to some county in asia, THEN AFTER it gets approved he/she'll send me new one.
But i was told i had to pay for all the S&H and it was around 50 dollars even if it doesnt get approved. Which i was still going to do, but seller stopped emailing me back and lost contact.
(not sure if it'll make any difference but) If anyone can post specs for different companys ballast would be helpful.
mine (techone) says
Vnorm: 13.2v
Inorm: 3.2A
Pout: 35W
