Do certain HID manufacturers have HIDs that are brighter than the competition? I bought cheap ones on eBay but will be getting a full refund because of a "you get what you pay for" situation. I have a bad ballast and a bad bulb so I'm returning them. What companies make the brightest? I'm not looking to spend $300 on a set. Around $150-$170 max. Any input on the brightest? (I will be buying 6000k)

 

which ones did u buy? i am getting a set off of ebay as well, my buddy has the same ones, and has had no problems, so i ordered them

 

everyone has their own opinions on HID

Clifford sells em for a good price

and so does operatic

i have oznium and love them but they are more expensive

just search for HID....

 

xentec HID's off ebay are good i know a few ppl that have had no problems, ive had mine for 6 months and not a problem

my 12k are brighter than lexus and bmw hid projectors

 

they might look brighter, but the output you have is half of what bmw and lexus has

 

if im sitting next to either one my lights are brighter and shine farther, believe it or not, at least i know its true, unless you have had something dont knock it until you know

 

You must be seeing something because their is no possible way your pink lights are brighter than an OE HID vehicle.

from what I know, after like 5,000k, as the color temp goes up, the light output goes down.

Operatic (3bspecilties.com) has em for $130 with next day shipping. Add $30 for slim ballasts. I got the 5000K with the slim ballasts. I'll try and get some pics up by Wednesday.

 

so taking a pic of the beam right in the middle of the shot makes it bright? I can go do that with my stockers right now and ill be brighter!

oziniums looks good but dont forget the relay
