Default HID Cutoff Opinions and Possible Help Wanted

Ok I installed HID's last night. When I looked at them they seemed fairly decent, and the cutoff seemed fairly decent. I parked my car tonight and started walking away from it to see when the bright spot would show. It seems the passenger side bright spot showed before my drivers side. It also seems the passenger side is pointed upward a tad more. Here are some photos of my cutoff near the garage. I can take different photos from a further distance if necessary.. Overall i need to know how the cutoff looks and what kind of adjustments are recommended. Keep in mind my driveway is on a slight incline.

Best way to adjust hight on cutoff.....

stole it via HIDPlanet.com/forums.

proper cutoff line...

the top line on the drivers side should be at the same level as the pass side top. On the last pic, the drivers side could be raised a bit to even out. On yours it looks like the projectors are spazzing out from the HIDs (i.e.- not supposed to be in there?). But thats just me. BTW, learn to resize the pics next time.

It looks like you had the latest aftermarket set. Just lower your passenger so that its lower level matches with the driver side's lower level.

Bad or good is entirely depend on your taste. To my opinion, the driver side cutoff angles clockwise, hence, exposing more lights to the opposite traffic. That is my only criticism on the cuttoff. Other than that, the cutoffs are pretty neat, but the look of the headlights.......... you'll fine plenty of inputs from SL members. But hey, if you like it more power to you. Thats all

ive heard alot about the look of the headlights. alot of folks think that anything on ebay is crap. i didnt pay for these headlights, i did some work for a buddy and took them off his hands. i figured i would make due with them. i can tell you that photos do them no justice that in person they look very, very nice. nick06tc got to see them today and agreed that they look much better in person.

i dont have a taste for HID's yet because this is my first set. i just want to make sure i dont blind oncoming traffic, thats my concern. i see how the cutoff on the drivers side angles slightly clockwise, but is that too much of an angle or workable? so the cutoff's in these are not too bad? just double checking thats why i made this post. i want the experts to give me alot of opinions.

"cutoff" wise, its not bad and its improved. BUT, output wise is a totally different story.

Yeah the cutoff is fine, but output wise doesnt give that much light. My stock with HID's light so much better than a friend who has on his tC 6000k HID's with aftermarket projectors.

The cutoff looks great for aftermarket, but they could be alot brighter.

updated cutoff photos. im not looking for perfect, but i am looking not to blind oncoming traffic. i do see when im driving that the angle of the drivers side goes up a little, but i parked my car on the street with my lights on and drove my other car towards it. can only see the blue of the projector, no light from them so they are angled down far enough i believe.

better. drivers side is still slanted but you wont be able to fix it unless you open it up. I wont be able to tell if the cutoff is at the right height unless you do what i told you about the wall like in the pic i have above in the BMW M3.

it would take a serious car wreck to open these headlights up .. i ensured there would be no moisture. im not too worried about the little bit because it doesnt go that high. overall though you think the cutoff is alright? i dont have a place locally that has a setup like that bmw, but driving toward my garage and backing up the cutoff stays the same, it doesnt raise, im also on an up angle in my driveway. i did drive down my road real far with my car parked on the side with the headlights on and i didnt even see the light from the headlights, i only saw the blue hue from them.

Looks good, but I would still question the clockwise angle of driverside and counterclockwise of passenger side. It doesn't seem close up, but in a far projection, it will expose a lot of lights if you're using HID.
