Default HID kit does not light up

Bought a mobile HID kit, tried installing today using the relay, everything is hooked up the way as shown in the directions, however the lights won't light up. The relay harness came with this weird remote plug that did not work with the headlight harness coming from the car, so I cut that and put the remote harness from the old bulb on. Not one light on either side lights up, so i'm not sure what to do. Any ideas?

sounds like maybe you bought the wrong wire harness??? And also maybe check the polarity on the ballasts. The black clip is supposed to go over the silver triangle.

The black clips are set like that, and i even tried reversing them. I bought the H7 6000K kit because that is what people said to buy for the anzo headlight projectors. I already changed the remote plug harness, so shouldn't it work?

Did you follow the HID DIY? It seems like you may be a bit new to them.

I had a similar issue but i have the H11 kit from hidextra. When i was installing the relay with the kit my lights wouldnt come on either but i knew that everything was hooked up right. For me the problem was the relays connector that goes to your oem headlight switch had like an extra plastic tip. So it looked like it would connect but the pins were too deep for it to ever make a connection with the headlight switch. So i just had to cut the extra plastic tip off and voila connected it and it worked. What part did you cut? Could just be a bad relay harness.

The relay i have looks like this:

the remote turn on plug is the thing that i had to switch. Mine did not have that connection at all, which was random.. it had a plug that you would plug into like a 12V socket...?? So i cut that off, and put on the harness from the old bulb, and connected it... but nothing turns on

Alright I tested the lights, The bulbs and ballasts are okay, , they light up when i directly connect them to the battery. Which means that the relay is bad...

So im trying to think of ways to fix this temporarily.

1. Would it not be getting enough power through the stock remote plug harness? they are a little thinner of wire..

2. Bad harness? Is there a way to hook up the lights so i can drive at night till i get a new harness?

Im atleast somewhat happy now that i know what is wrong..

Well, you could use the stock connections just a risk thats all. It could blow fuses or cause a short in the long run. Maybe grab a relay harness from hidextra? They have a 10% off thing and it runs about 16 bucks. For me i paid like 14 something that was with shipping. Just know that i didnt have to cut anything on the relay. But for that remote switch i had to trim off some of the plastic tip to get it to connect to the cars headlight switch. You can always call hidextra and talk to them. Hope you get it sorted out.

Alright they are up and working finally! turns out that the driver's side OEM harness had been fried? Idk, doesn't make sense. But as soon as i plugged the relay harness into the passenger side harness both lights turned on. Much more difficult than i was expecting... but very happy its done. thanks for all your help everyone

check the fuse, could be just the fuse and not the actual wiring.
