Default HID problem...help

ok i just installed my HIDs. i try to turn them on and nothing, just my DRLs. i double checked all my connections, i checked all 3 fuses on the wiring harness. i thought maybe i didnt have a good ground so i grounded to the battery and still nothing. also when grounding the to battery, when rubbing the ground against the battery should i get sparks? cuz there were none. anyone have any ideas?

Dumb question, but did you happen to buy them new off a known website, or ebay, or a friend or something? Reason im asking is because a friend of mine bought a pair for a diffrent car, and was having the same problem, come to find out both bulbs were shot, replaced them and they worked fine! Might have blown during shipping or something! Just a thought.

i got them from the sponsered sales section here, they have all good reviews so far and nothing bad, is there a way to tell if the bulbs are bad?

you should double check your connections again, the ones that connect the ballast to the bulbs, make sure each plug goes with the rigfht ones.

before i installed these my driver side headlight was out. since that side is the one my wiring harness goes into im thinking maybe it is the fuse. does anyone know where the drivers side headlight fuse is located?

Im not a 100% sure, the only way we could tell is buying a new pair of bulbs, sorta like process of elimination, and if that didnt work we were going to take them back. But I would think by looking at the bulb, sorta like a light bulb for a house or something, one of the prongs would be broke or something. I might be wrong, but im sure if I am, ill hear it in a few minutes Good Luck Let me know what you find out, incase I run into the same problem!

This is most likely the problems... Although I am unsure which fuse is for the headlight, You should spend some time pulling out each fuse to check if any fuse has blown. Also check the fuse that is located on the harness itself if it came with one.

If it turns out to be an issue with the stock wiring harness or bulb connector, get it fixed under warranty. Make sure you have the stock bulbs in when you bring it in. They probably will not warrenty it if they see bulbs other than stock installed.

I see.

I ask because I also recently bought a set from this site.

This is a very very stupid question. Don't throw rocks at me. Have you flipped the socket from the original bulb to the power to ballast?
