Default HID question...

i was looking at getting HIDs but, i dont want to loose my high beams, since i do alot of night driving. so i was looking on ebay, and i saw some bi-XENON kits, and for the price they didnt look too bad. i saw a couple of them that i was interested in buying, with 12-17 month warranties.
i was wondering if they have warranties could i go wrong getting those? and even if they are from china, but have good pretty good feedbacks..

i wanna hear from ppl that have dealt with these dealers, or ppl that have had trouble from lights from ebay,
i was wondering if the warranties are legit.

you are not going to loose your high-beam.

you have a tC, we use a different housing for each beam, which means two bulbs, which means that one isnt affected by the other.

Hey buddy, just want to help you some. I normally don't push someone's product unless I bought it and use it. However this guy just brought his HID sets on sale for 140 shipped in the listed "K" ranges. Comes with the bulbs, ballast, and harness to protect the stock ones, plus a 1yr warranty. The only reason why I mention this is b/c you included "from china" and "ebay" in your post This guy and others have been helping me with my decision since yesterday and next week I will be buying a set from him, most likely the 6000k's I think his 56 pgs in his thread can speak for his reliability. You can get HIDs for both low beam and hi beams. We have two separate "compartments" for our bulbs so you don't need bi-xenon. Those are for like the xB that only have one bulb that is both the lo and high beam. Hope that clears up that issue, here's the link to the guys thread, I think the special for 140 shipped is good til the end of this month then it goes back to 160shipped. Browse his pages for pics of the kits. https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...333&highlight=

Yeah, after getting to pg 18 and nothing negative at all about his kits and if you have any issues he helps you fix them why not? He seems like a great guy and the HIDs look awesome in the pics from the people that bought them. I drive with my low beams around here, can't remember the last time I used my highbeams so I'm just getting the low beam set for now. And the pics of his kits look like good quality components, and the fact that it comes with its own harness is a plus since I really don't want to take too much risk with my stock one...heard its over 200 bucks for a new one from my dealer.

I lost my high beams . Got my lows adjusted higher up (the cut off is actual the exact specs for the stock lights on the tC) and now my highbeams go up at about a 55º angle .

But, the HID's put out so much more light than the stock halogens, that high beams are pretty much worthless.

Yup the 08s look pretty good...if only they would have left the turn signal the same and the lens the same as the 07s and below...but can't complain, at least we have OEM projectors now.

^ its kits like that that give HID a bad name. blue sucks, looks way ricerish, wont be able to see $hit on a blacktop road in the rain. and they SCREAM "HEY LOOK AT ME!!!" sorry man, i have on respect for bulbs over 5000K. leave the color to the cutoff, not the bulb.

It's kits like that that give fog lights a bad name. Leds suck, look way ricerish, and you won't be able to see $hit in the fog when they are on and they SCREAM "HEY LOOK AT ME!!!" sorry man, I have no respect for leds as fog lights. Leave the actual work to real fogs, not leds.

See, I can be just as much of an a$$ too :D ScionTcZZ your new mod ownz man. As long as your happy and content with them, then by all means enjoy them They look awesome, too blue for me, 6000k would be nice...and whiter. Peace

lol, that made magyver chuckle...teee heee

its not being an a$$, its being truthful. post those picts on hidplanet and see how nice i was in my comment. i went HID for output, (the reason they were created), not color.

the projectors seem decent though, need a pict parallel to a wall on the drivers side, as well as a perpendicular shot to completely show the cutoff and type of lense if any

Yeah...HIDs that are too blue seem like the driver is trying to be noticed too hard. 6000k is nice and white with just a touch of blue
