This is what happens when people don't know the product they're buying before hand and 100-200 is alot to someone who has a short budget and for what? for something they won't be happy in the long run.
This is not just about High intensity discharge but also about other things. If you don't know what you're talking about, then don't give people any advise. If you do know what you're talking about, then voice your opinion and state facts to HELP OTHERS not make a mistake they might regret later on.

I agree completely. Correct information is always better then something wrong. But if someone wants to slap HID's in their stock headlights, let them. It is cheaper then buying projectors. Some like the way projectors look, and some don't. It is a personal preference.

But you did provide some great information. Thumbs up!

Well dude, I never said the OP should get projectors. It is just the fact that if you want output and white, 5,000K will do you some good. And since i know he has an hidkit, the output that he will lose won't be as much as a bulb with a higher kelvin temperature.
Get his:
1) the less lumens in a non-efficient lamp, the poorer the result will be.
2) the more lumens and best looks in a non-efficient lamp, the decent the result will be,

It all boils down to personal preference... My 6K kit in my OE headlights works beautifully and is a massive improvement over halogens... anyways...
Those are called reflective HID setups or HID reflectors used on the previous generation of the infiniti g35, Acura tl's, Acura RL's, Lexus ES300, Lincolns, Cadillac Escalade, lexus IS300, etc.
Again, your statements are stupid and I'm being generous because you obviously HAVE NO IDEA what you're talking about.
Do you know how light works and the prism effect? Do you know how light is bent or how an HID bulb works? Do you know how the salt excitement to make an arc and project light is done by the bulbs? Do you know D2R bulbs are use for reflective setups and D2S for projective setups or projectors? Do you know D2R's have a shield bilt into the build itself that blocks how light is projected? Do you know why D2R bulbs make less lumens? Do you know what the R stands for? Do you know why Reflective setups do not use rebased D2S bulbs unlike your kit which is a rebased D2S setup?
I guess you don't. However, it is true when you said this was a waste on time when knowledgable people like me try to enlight you and give you facts so you won't make an butt out of yourself yet you still believe the fact that whateever information wrong you're giving out to people is the correct one thus they must follow it.
Know how things work before opening your mouth.

i'm really beginning to hate theses forums, you give you opinion based on your experience, and some guy who thinks he is god on the subject starts a big argument because what you said is contrary to his belief system... its funny, cause the only thing i disagreed on was the fact that "you can't see anything with 6K's"... but yeah, i'm out, these forums are too much of a headache...

weird how i've had experience with tC's, civics, corolla's, camry's, etc yet everything you have experience on is a totally different headlight such as the xB that is entirely different.
