Default HID Questions

I just bought an 08 tC and am looking into buying HID lights but I'm completely clueless as to what is necessary. I read the sticky on it but it didn't get me too far..Can I just buy the HID bulbs or do I need to purchase a conversion kit or other parts? I want to have this done where non of my parts will be in jeopardy of melting and nothing going wrong..as well as not being pulled over by cops..I was looking at the 8000k bulbs..Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Btw, what is retrofitting?

you need a basic HID kit, which is the bulbs, harness, and ballasts. i suggest buying it from MobileHID or Operatic aka 3Bspec.

and retrofit is putting or replacing a projector in a headlight basically

Ok...do you know if the kits on mobileHID come with bulbs already? I think they are on there for $225 shipped but I'm not sure if the bulbs/harness/ballasts come with

yeah mobile HID. if you go with anything else , you are stupid. i just installed 5000k in my 08 about a month or 2 ago and they are awsome, super good quality, and cliffud had the best costomer service ive ever experienced. i accidently ordered an extra wire harness, not knowing that the kit already included one and seriously a few hours later i got an email from cliff, asking if i made a mistake on my order and if i needed a refund on the harness before he shipped it out, he then did so and then gave me an extra 15 bucks off on my order on top of the refunded 20 for the harness because he was on a business trip and wouldnt be able to mail it for a few days. now that is what i call service!

not to mention mobile HID does SL sales which is when i purchased mine and after it was all said and done i kit came out to be somewhere around like 155 or 165 .

cant beat that dude, go with Mobile HID

Operatic for me too. Search for that...it's a lot cheaper and still great quality. Comes with the relay harness also

get operatic it has a relay harness, if something goes wrong your factory system wont be fried, one of the 3 fuses will just blow, alot of hid kits dont have the relay so a problem cud just fry your lighting system, operatic prevents that, great customer service

ya both MobileHID and Operatic then have the relay harnesses then, what kind of warranty does Operatic offer?

Do i need separate kits for Low & High beams? It would be nice to have both... but I'd just get Low for now...
