Default hid relay question

hi, both of my mobilhid bulbs couldn't turn on.(They been working since 2009 march) I am waiting for cliffud's reply right now.
In mean time, could anyone help me trouble shoot it? I have check the #2 and #3 fuses (low beam fuse)in the engine bay, they are fine.
My connections are fine.

I think it might be the relay. I bought a $5 30 amp relay from Auto Zone.

After i plug it in, it still didn't work. How can I trouble shoot hid problem?

Did you check if the fuse by the relay is burnt? I had the same problem, it turned out it was a fuse (not one of the fuse located under the hood by the engine bay, but a fuse that is near the relay by the drivers side inside your vehicle).

Get somewhat stronger fuse... something that can withstand the amp.

the relay harness came with 20 amp. fuse. I am afraid using strong fuse might damage the ballasts or the bulbs.

Well obviously that the fuse is weak and can't withstand the amp flowing through. That's why the ballast is there for. Learned from my early ages of headlight modding. When I put on a bulb that exceeds 55w. My fuse would always burn out. So I did what I thought would work... put a stronger fuse. And no more problems. I would try changing the fuse... or else you'll just keep blowing out the same fuse over and over.

I thought try something... 25-35amp

well its a 30 amp relay hence why your blowing your 20 amp fuse, so get a 30 amp fuse and it'll work fine

cliffud have been helping me trouble shooting. it was a bad ballast on the driver side.
With a 20a fuse, my passenger side light up fine.
