Guys i had hid for quite some time. Last week my right went out so i was like ok ballast is done i went and replaced both since its still under waranty. Now right is out again wtf? I tryied to plug bulb in secon balast and it worked. 10 min later my left went out just all of the sudden . I waited like 2 min turned them on and left is working right is still out.
Anyone experienced this issue? The new ballasts are in car only 4 days.
Does tc have a wire isue or do i need switch the fuses to 15 or what i checked the fuses and they are fine . I have no idea what could cause this problem .

No one? I was in idea over the years that there are some ppl on here who know stuf.

 

Im not sure what it is, BUT it is possible you have another set of bad ballast's, i have heard of people getting new ones that are bad.

Or.

You could simply have a bad wire somewhere as well.

 

But where like prior to ballast? Its wierd that its again the stupid right side and interesting that left one turned of and on. Is tgere any way to test some stuff?

 

Ok i just tried and switched the ballast from right to left and etc. Since it didnt work i am guessing its the ballast. My question now is why is it right side again? How is it with tc is there chance that more power is going to the right so it burn it or what could it be that is the right side again?

dude check ur fuses...samething happened to me and it was my fuses lol. so check ur fuses all of them in the engine bay box.

 

^unless im wrong, i would assume both headlights are on the same fuse. if not, thats some dumb planning by toyota

 

there are different fuses. one for left and for right. size 15. atleast thats what it is for my xA.

 

oh well...i may be wrong!

 

each Low beam socket has a 10amp fuse, then to switch relay, then to a 30amp fuse, then to power source. totaling of 40a (10+10+30) main relay.

if u just got new ballasts, why not get a whole new kit / set of bulbs. so u know ur not taking a risk; u should've also just gotten new bulbs. lol

 

I did i did get the whole new set. Not just ballast
Today i got another one so lets see how long will it last. What about fuse will changing 10 fuse to 15 make any differece?

 

No. You don't need to change the stock fuses that won't help bcuz the main relay is a 40amp relay and you basically could eff it up.

Ya i put it back but it dont matter now i got the frs so yeah lol easy fix lol
