HID's where to buy?
well last year i had to replace my HID's that i bought from a vendor on here about 4 years ago from a local shop who used cheap ballasts (went through 3 in the last year) and i keep reading alot of issues with HID Extra....so i'm curious whom everyone is purchasing their's through that is QUALITY and going to last quite a while?
thanks in advance

I've been through a few sets from hidextra. Great price but always seem to have issues after a while 2 sets of highs and lows *technically 3 but the 3rd set was from an accident*. And their method for "warranty replacements" is a pain. I'm back to good quality stock bulbs

I've had 3 HID extra kits on my car, no problems, switched from 05 heads to 08s then from 5k to 6k. No problems whatsoever and like kanchi said, if you catch em on a sale, you get an amazing price, i think black friday had the kits at $29.99.
Thanks for the reply. What about glare or blinding other drivers or whatnot I was reading about in another thread due to the 08 headlight housing? With regards to it being a projector light or something? (not very good with cars, my tC is first car i've attempted to do some mods to). Thank you
I have had HIDs in both the 05-07 headlights and the 08+ headlights. The 08+ headlights, by far, have much less glare. The cutoff is decent with them and the squirrel finders aren't terrible for other drivers to deal with. As long as the other drivers aren't staring into your headlights they will be fine.
So for that DDM Kit just get the 40$ kit and the H11 bulb (2008 tc) and good to go? Do I need any of the other things it gives you option to purchase like error eliminator and whatever else..
yep, your good to go with just the HID kit. double sided tape is what i used to hold them in. like i said in my other post like 6 months and tape is still there holding the ballast.
