Home Depot Lip...???
hey ive been lookin at some pics of what you guys call the "home depot lip", and would like to do it possibly. has anyone installed it all the way around the car? looking like a full kit? and has anyone installed it on a CSM tC? want to know how itd look on mine. (PICS please!) also, could i paint it...? i really want a lip kit but theyre all so expensive!
I don't think there have been many tCs doing this yet.
As for painting, I'd say no. It's very unlikely that the paint would stick. Would probably flake and peel. But a small black lip probably wouldn't look bad anyway. I was considering it on my SSM... so maybe I'll try it.
Can't be too bad for like $20 anyway. Just don't think something like this would actually be a "lip kit" like you would buy. It's just not even close.

well of course i know it wont be like a real lip kit, and i think youre right about not painting it. i would love a lip kit but they cost too much. idk what im gonna do. might just drop it instead, but does that get pricey? id wanna get s-techs so id have to pay for them, pay for installation, and pay for an allignment later. PRICEY
yeah if you can't afford the whole kit at once - just buy it in pieces...
1 week front lip
next couple weeks...side skirts
couple more weeks...rear lip
more weeks....get everything painted
then put it on yourself (shouldn't be hard at all)
it's a longer process (and you'll spend more money on shipping) but it's worth it in the end
edit: fixed a typo

1.)you can get s-techs for like $100-$200
2.)install yourself, theres lots of DIY's on here
3.) an alignment isnt always absolutely necessary
