but i got 3 chips on my hood from i guess rocks, but listen to this, the paint didn't chipped off all the way, it's like it got sliced and it's still on the hood, but it's like paint hanging off my hood, and it's really soft,

no time to search the forums ready to go out and have the alarm installed

should i complain to the dealer about the paint too soft?
I got a dime-sized chip on my hood the first week I had the car.

I did complain to the dealership; they basically told me they don't caree, that the paint isn't covered under warranty.

Wish I could help, but unless they have to care, the dealership never does.

I suggest using a paint cleaner on it repeatedly after washes.

When that stops working, start dabbing on touch-up paint with a toothpick (more control that way). Let it dry thoroughly between coats. When you're done, go over it with a rubbing compound.

Yeah well how about noticing 3 BIG chips on the car when you buy it...Then you tell the dealer and they say don't worry bring it in, we'll fix it. Then you get there and they give you a god damn bottle of touch up paint! Whooohoooo I'm happy now cause I got a free bottle of $4.65 touch up paint that doesn't even really match. I mean these were down to the metal flakes the size of pensile eracers. Then the dealership went belly up 2 weeks later.
