Got the REdline, nicely made, fairly easy to install,I had one fail at about 9 months but they took it back under the 3 year warrenty and sent me a new one no questions asked.

Just if you do the install be sure to use a drill stop on the drill bit and a new sharp bit so it does not get away form you and drill through the hood,I almost did as my bit was dull and when it finally went through I was pushing and it kept going......after that I use drill stops and new bits only.

I have the redline tuning one but haven't installed it yet for fear of it being too strong for my Kami hood. Does anyone have one installed on a CF hood? If so, how is it? & when it's closed does it make your hood not fit properly?

I tried to install the NRG hood dampers (light weight ones) they also have the standard dampers as well. But anyways, I was installing it today on my Seibon Carbon fiber OEM style hood but I couldn't get the bolt to tighten enough to the NRG bracket where the damper connects too, so no luck it popped out every time and I couldn;t get it working so i stopped trying cause eventually my bolt holes in the hood would of stripped

I have the redline tuning one on a kami hood. Hood fits properly with it on there. I'll try to take pics of it later.

the Redline works fine on the Kami hood, just use the size dril bit they recomend for the rivit and you are good as gold.....

So far over 18 months with it on and no issues short of having the first damper replaced, the seal broke and it froze open, but it has 3 year warrenty and they are good at gettign new one right out to you if it should die.

I have heard of one person having cracks in their hood and he had the REdline strut and kami hood.I check on mine probably weekly while cleaning and no problems.

remember to use a drill stop on the bit,you only need to drill about a 1/4" into the hood,if you do not have a drill stop wrap the bit in like 30feet of electrical tape so it is like a big 3'4" wall on the bit so the bit cannot travel further....super safty thing so no hole through hood.

I know. My hood was one of the first mods done to my tC. It's literally been repainted like 10 times, too, haha. Sounds corny but it has like, sentimental value to me now.

Thanks.
