Default how blue is too blue? (headlight bulbs)

So i bought some new bulbs for my tc a while back, thinking they were going to have a blue tint to them....not at all. PLus i paid like 50$ for them. So now i see i can buy bulbs on ebay for like 20$ shipped.
I want to get bulbs that have a blueish tint to them, but not have to worry about the law or not being able to see at night.
Is 8500k too blue? How about 8000k?

if you go halogens with color at around 8000-8500K you might as well drive with your parking lights, cause those are going to be dim dim dim. Also I can't understand if you are worried about seeing at night or not, weird sentence structure.

do not buy the e-bay stuff, they go out in three-six months and they won't be blue or blueish at all. you need HIDs you can get them from $80 to anywhere like $200. If you want blueish color while maintaining Street legality. get some 7000k bulbs.

The ones on ebay are just the oem bulbs with a blue tint on it. but trust me you don't want them

HID Bulb

vs.

EBAY Bulb

Anything above 6000K is too blue for me. That's why I got 5000K in my ride. 5000k has more lumens (how bright they are) meaning better visibility.

basically for the amount of money you are potentially going to pay for cheap ebay lights, will cost the same as pnp hid (which will last A LOT longer). don't go over 6000K if you are worried about the law.

with the money you'll waste constantly buying new bulbs, you might aswell get an HID kit

6K is about as high as you should go if u wanna be safe
8K is pushin it, might get lucky might not
Anything above that is just retarded imo. Kid in my school just bought a 12K kit. Shoulda seen how badly he got scolded.

Get a relay too while you're at it. Better safe then sorry.

I got 6K. Check my profile for pics if u want.

I am running 8k in my car right now. I wish I would have got 5k or 6k now that I think about. I mean the visibility isn't horrible but it could be better.

anything above 8000K is too blue then after 10000K it goes purple then to pink. I would recommend 6000K as it's while with a very slight hint of blue. I miss my 6k bulbs; running 8ks now.

I've got 10k and i gotta admit, visibility isn't that great, especially in the rain. Though I've got a set of vrd fogs that im planning on installing this weekend with 3k hid's that should help out.

ebay fake HID lights suck. Ive seen them burn wires before. Go with an HID kit. I have 8k and have been pulled over 25 times between that, exhaust, and speeding in NJ...

The color might look a little more blue than its suppose to be maybe because of the snow.

i have 6k and love them. if you wanna go a little more blue then get the 8k's. as long as youre not speeding anywhere like a crazy man they wont stop you. just dont draw attention to yourself. i used the kit over at 3bspec.com i've had em for a year and will go back when i get a new car or new projectors. the prices are good and its all next day delivery included.

4300K has the most lumens and usable light...anything above that just gets worse. 6K is the max I would go with.
